ENGL350 Digital Advocacy Fair!

Digital Advocacy Fair
Overview: Thursday, April 16 // 1:30pm2:30pm // Luter Atrium //

After a semester of hard work, students from ENGL 350: Writing for the Digital Humanities are ready to showcase their digital activism and advocacy projects! On Thursday, April 16th, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm in the Luter Atrium, they will have individual stations set up where students, faculty, and staff from across the university can check out what they have been up to.

Topics for projects include (just to name a few): mental health, animal welfare, veganism, disabilities, healthy living, voting, environmentalism, education, 3D-printing, canine therapy, open source, historical preservation, GMOs, beach preservation, orphanages, and much more! In order to advocate for these various causes, students have created social media pages with applications like Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest, blog sites and webpages on wix, WordPress, and more, a number of images, infographics, and memes, digital maps and timelines, and last but not least, online memorials.

The event should be of interest to anyone curious about writing in digital environments, the digital humanities, online activism, new media, and beyond. Snacks will also be provided. Last year’s event was a big success, so we hope to see you again this year!

P.S., Here are a few examples to get you excited!
